By Danielle Olivia Tefft, jewelry writer
It's almost the end of January. They say this January has been one of the coldest in the Northeast in over a hundred years. That statistic is not helping my seasonal disorder. Winter is always too long and dreary for me. I was born in June. I live for spring, summer and autumn so I can putter in my garden when I am not writing. This blog is dedicated to those of you like me long for warmer months in which our beloved flowers grow.
I wear flower jewelry all year long, especially in winter. It reminds me spring will indeed come and nature will once again drape the earth in a fresh carpet of greenery. Here are some of my favorites, past and present:
Just looking at the photos of these floral beauties is good medicine for my winter blues. I hope they have helped you, too. Spring can't hide on us forever! Our real flower gardens will bloom again. In the meantime, they bloom in our hearts.
Do you have a favorite piece of jewelry with a floral theme? Please tell us about it with in the comments section. Also, if you love antique and vintage jewelry as much as I do, subscribe to this blog so you don't miss an article!
